Booked College HUNKS for a last-minute move when my previous movers cancelled on me the day before. They fit me in the very next morning and sent two incredibly hardworking guys. They moved my entire one-bedroom apartment in two hours flat. Courteous, careful, and professional. In a stressful situation they were a total lifesaver. Cannot recommend enough.
Very disappointed with this experience. The movers showed up an hour and a half late and seemed completely unprepared. They didn't bring enough blankets or padding, and my dresser ended up with a long scratch across the front. When I pointed it out, the crew lead just shrugged and said I could file a claim. The claims process has been a nightmare — it's been three weeks and I still haven't heard back.
Absolute disaster from beginning to end. The quote I got online was completely different from what they charged me. I was told the job would take two hours max and it took nearly five, so the final bill was more than double what I budgeted. The movers were slow and spent more time on their phones than working. I will never use this company again and I've warned everyone I know.
I hired College HUNKS to remove some furniture and old appliances. They took the big items but left a bunch of smaller debris that was explicitly included in the job. When I called to complain, I was put on hold for 20 minutes and then told someone would call me back. Nobody ever did. I ended up hauling the rest myself. Not worth the money.
They broke my 65-inch TV during the move. It was working perfectly before and when we unpacked it the screen was completely cracked. I have photos showing it was undamaged before the move. Filed a damage claim and they offered me $75 for a $900 television. The customer service rep was dismissive and rude. This company does not take responsibility for their mistakes.
Mixed experience overall. The crew themselves were friendly enough and tried hard, but they clearly didn't have enough experience with large furniture. They struggled badly with my sectional and ended up scuffing the wall in my new place. They also forgot to load my floor lamp and I had to drive back for it myself. Mediocre for the price they charge.
Scheduled a pickup window of 8am to 10am. Nobody showed up. I called at 10:15 and was told the crew was 'running behind.' They finally arrived at 1:30pm with no real apology. I had taken the entire day off work for this. The actual junk removal was fine but the complete disregard for my time is unacceptable. I don't understand how this company has good reviews anywhere.
