Used their publishing service to print a small batch of books. The quality of the printing was decent but the timeline they quoted me was way off. They said 3 to 4 weeks and it ended up being nearly 10 weeks. I had already planned a launch event around their original timeline. They were apologetic but offered no real compensation for the inconvenience.
The publishing consultation call went well and I was excited to work with them. But once I paid the deposit, communication dropped off significantly. I had to follow up repeatedly just to get basic status updates. The finished book looked okay but I expected a more professional and guided experience for what I paid.
The children's book selection online is nice but the website is really slow and clunky. Checkout kept timing out and I had to re-enter my payment info three times before the order went through. Also the search filters don't work well — I searched for books for ages 2 to 4 and kept getting results for middle grade readers.
The books I ordered arrived eventually but the packaging was terrible — just tossed in a plain box with no padding. One of the corners of a hardcover was crushed in. The books are nice quality otherwise, but for the shipping cost they charged me I expected them to actually protect the items in transit.
