Mixed feelings about Oshala Farm. The dried chamomile I ordered was genuinely lovely — great color and fragrance — but the motherwort was pretty lackluster in comparison. I also found the website misleading because certain items show as available but then you get an email days later saying they're out of stock. That happened to me with two items in one order. The refund process was easy at least. I think the farm has real potential but consistency is an issue.

The quality of the herbs is genuinely good when you receive what you ordered, but the customer experience leaves a lot to be desired. I've had two orders now where substitutions were made without any notification — I ordered one herb and received a different one entirely. Both times the enclosed packing slip still listed my original items. When I brought it up, they apologized but offered no discount or credit. For the price point they're at, better communication and accuracy should be standard.
I really wanted to love Oshala Farm but my experience visiting the farm was just okay. The land itself is beautiful and the growing practices seem solid, but the visit felt unstructured. There was no clear tour route and the signage was confusing. I ended up wandering around for a while before finding anyone to talk to. The person I eventually spoke with was friendly but clearly stretched thin. I bought some herbs from the shop and they were good, but I left feeling like the experience could be so much more with a little organization.
I live not too far from the farm so I've visited a couple of times and ordered online as well. The in-person experience is hit or miss depending on who's working. Sometimes you get someone really passionate and knowledgeable, other times you feel like you're bothering them. Online ordering is similarly inconsistent — my first order was perfect, my second arrived with an item substituted without notice, and my third was delayed by over two weeks. I keep hoping each experience will be better but it's frustrating when results are so unpredictable.
