The Fossil Exchange

My order arrived shattered. The ammonite I ordered was clearly just loosely wrapped in a single layer of tissue paper inside a thin cardboard box with no padding on the sides or bottom. Half of it broke off and there were cracks all over the main piece. I sent photos immediately and it took over two weeks to get any response. They eventually offered store credit but I don't want store credit, I wanted the item I paid for. This whole experience was frustrating and unprofessional.

Spent over $300 on a dinosaur bone fragment that arrived with zero documentation, no certificate, no provenance info, nothing. The listing clearly stated that documentation was included. I've now sent four emails over six weeks and haven't gotten a satisfactory answer. One rep told me the documentation must have fallen out during packing and then went silent. I'm considering disputing the charge with my credit card company at this point. Extremely poor customer service.

I ordered a gift in early November for a Christmas present and it still hasn't arrived as of mid-December. Tracking shows the package has been sitting at a regional hub for almost three weeks. Customer service blamed the carrier but made no effort to investigate, reship, or offer any solution. I had to find a last-minute replacement gift. Still waiting on a refund. For the prices they charge I expected far better handling and accountability.
