Really disappointed with my recent order. I ordered two pounds of wild salmon and when it arrived the fish had an off smell that wasn't right. I contacted customer service and waited three days for a response. When they finally replied they offered me a partial store credit which doesn't really help when I already had to throw out the product. For the price they charge I expected much better quality control.

The website makes everything look premium but my experience didn't match the marketing. I ordered the premium halibut fillet and it arrived with some freezer burn on the edges. The texture was mushy in spots which tells me it had been thawed and refrozen at some point. Customer service was polite but took forever to respond and only offered a small discount on my next order rather than a refund.
We tried using Whidbey Island as a supplier for our seafood restaurant and it did not work out. The first two orders were fine but the third came with product that was clearly past its prime. The halibut had a slimy texture and strong ammonia smell. We had to reject the entire shipment. When we contacted them about the issue we got a runaround for almost two weeks before they agreed to a partial refund. Had to find a different supplier.
The product descriptions on the website are misleading. I ordered what was described as fresh wild-caught salmon but received what was clearly a previously frozen product. The texture was completely different from fresh salmon. When I pointed this out the customer service rep was dismissive and said the listing clearly stated it could be frozen at peak freshness. That disclaimer was buried in tiny text. Feel like I was deceived.
We signed on as a wholesale account and the initial terms sounded great. But the invoicing has been a mess from the start. We've been double charged twice and had to chase them down both times to get corrections. The seafood quality itself is acceptable but the administrative side of working with them is a headache. Our accounts payable team is frustrated and we're evaluating other suppliers.
