Design home solar online using prices of solar providers near you

Honestly regret using this site. The moment I entered my phone number to get a detailed estimate, my phone became a telemarketing target. I've received calls from solar companies in states I've never even lived in. The actual design tool is mediocre at best — it couldn't handle my home's complicated layout and just gave me a generic recommendation. The site sells itself as a consumer advice resource but it really functions as a lead aggregator. Very disappointed.

Mixed feelings about solar-estimate. The educational content is good and helped me understand the basics before I started getting quotes. But the price estimates for my part of Tennessee were about 20% lower than what I was actually quoted, which made my initial conversations with contractors awkward. Also the site recommended three contractors and two of them never responded to my inquiry. The third was fine but nothing special. Useful for learning, not reliable for pricing.
